When Will Samsung Launch the Galaxy Smart Ring? Here's the Latest Update

Samsung launched the Galaxy Ring, its first wearable smart ring, alongside the launch of the Galaxy S24 smartphone series earlier this year. A fresh report surfaced online revealing the wearable’s potential launch specifics recently.

A Korean publication expects Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Ring at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Rumors suggest Samsung will reveal the Galaxy smart ring in July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring will have blood pressure monitoring and ECG functionality built in. It will also have support for NFC. According to the article, the smart ring will go into mass production in April or June.

Samsung Research clinical research scientist Matthew Wiggins unveiled the Galaxy Ring at the January 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung described it as a powerful health and wellness device.

Dr. Wiggins listed some anticipated features of the Galaxy Ring. Samsung Health will monitor sleep patterns, and blood oxygen levels, and issue heart rate warnings for possible signs of sleep apnea.
Additionally, Dr. Wiggins referred to the upcoming release of the “My Vitality Score,” which evaluates a wearer’s level of mental and physical preparedness using information from their heart rate, activity level, and sleep patterns.

The teaser video aired during the live presentation confirmed previous claims that the Galaxy Ring would have numerous sensors.

It was also reported that the Galaxy Ring would have fitness tracking features like those of the Galaxy Watch. According to a trademark application, Samsung’s smart ring could manage and assess physiological and biometric data, vital signs, and individual health records.
